A more heavily peated, double distilled 10 year old bottling from the Springbank distillery, matured in bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is quite full and floral. There are bruised petals and blossom and notes of grist. A hint of thick cut marmalade and fresh herbs. A very faint smoke trails somewhere in the distance. The palate is quite big and firm. There is a solid slab of peat with a good malty feel. A well-balanced sweetness emerges with notes of sugared peels and tangerine with a hint of lime. The finish is quite long with citrus zest and oaked warmth.
