This whisky is the first that was sold in Port bottles. On the nose this blend has notes of sweet barley malt, cereals, caramel, pears and some spices. The barley malt and the pears reach the palate as well. Hints of a fruity sweetness and a little biscuit note are accompanied by spicy pepper. Overall, the body is mild, round and has a pleasant sweetness. To the end the blended Scotch shows spicy oak, is becoming woodier and preserves the caramel touch. This blend is an easy sipping whisky.
