A 1986 vintage whisky from the revitalised Glen Garioch. Bottled at full proof of 54.6% after 25 years of maturation in North American Oak for a powerful and spicy flavour.
This latest vintage release from Glen Garioch is a cask strength 25 year old. It follows on the previous 'small-batch' 1978, 1990, 1991, and 1994 vintages. Peaches and ginger on the nose, with fudge and a wisp of smoke. Mildly herbal. Full-bodied, rich, and sweet in the mouth. Fresh fruit and violet creams. Finally a slightly earthy, peaty note. The finish is long and gently smoky. Robust, yet refined.
