Masahiro Distillery, founded in 1883, is one of the oldest and largest distilleries in Okinawa. The Kujira Ryukyu Whisky is distilled from 100% premium rice and matured in Sherry, Bourbon and American White Oak Casks for more than 15 years, giving a mellow taste and silky texture to this exquisite whisky. The subtropical climate in Okinawa provides a warm and humid storage condition that accelerates the maturation process. This environment creates subtle fruity and botanical flavors with intense texture, enhancing the uniqueness of Ryukyu Whisky.
Nose: Dried plums, candied fruits, with mints and chocolate aromas.
Palate: Sweet elements such as chocolate, vanilla, and honey giving a pleasant taste, followed with spices, slight smoky flavors and toasty breads.
Finish: Remarkably smooth, slightly sweet licorice and peppery texture develops into a clean and long finish.
