 *Special Value Selection* Slightly turbid/cloudy rim to the colour, although the hue is bright; it's very clear this has been made from an exceptional parcel of estate fruit, for it has an elegance and length not commonly found in the Clare Valley; likewise, its range of spicy red fruits merging with gently savoury/earthy nuances is exceptional.

 *Editors' Choice* This is wonderfully complex and aromatic, with scents ranging from baking spices and savory beef to mixed berries. That swirl of seeming contradictions continues on the palate, backed by luxurious, supple tannins that linger softly on the finish. Drink now-2025. (JC)  (4/2016)

 Dense and tightly packed, but fleshy enough to let the black cherry, licorice and floral flavors shine through, lingering against a polished finish. Has presence and complexity. Drink now through 2022. (HS)  (8/2015)

 Inky ruby. Oak-spiced aromas of candied blackberry and boysenberry, with suave sandalwood and spicecake accents and hints of vanilla and licorice. Fleshy black and blue fruit flavors show very good concentration as well as vivacity. Finishes broad, gently sweet and persistent, with lush, pliant tannins that fold into the ripe dark fruit.
